sPsychotherapy Service FAQ’s

Do you accept insurance for psychotherapy services?

No, I do not accept insurance, however, my billing staff will submit claims to your insurance company for any out of network benefits that you may be entitled to receive.

Do you prescribe medication?

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, it is beyond the scope of my training to prescribe medication.  If you are looking for someone to prescribe medication, then you may want to contact a psychiatrist or ask your primary care physician for a referral.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

There is no set number of sessions.  Your length of time in therapy will be determined by the issues you identify, how much time you commit to working between sessions, your previous history and what you hope to achieve for yourself as a result of beginning the therapy process.

How often will I be seen?

Initially, I will ask you to attend weekly sessions.  For some clients it is necessary to schedule more frequent meetings.  As you move through the therapy process, we will meet less frequently.

Do you offer groups?

Yes, I offer  a group called Daring Greatly in 2015.  This is a 10 week group which covers one of 10 guideposts each session.  The group is psycho-educational and experiential.  It is open to adults and pre-registration is required.  You may contact my office for fee and registration information.  Please use the Contact Us Tab at the top of the page.
